talking about being disciplined in your decision- making. Let's hop into it. So there are certain things that we do every day in life, things that are so ubiquitous, that we don't even realize that we do them so frequently,

that we also don't reserve the time to audit them and improve on them.

I found this to be the case even when I was in in business school is like so many of the skills we are working on

building are like industry dependent or function dependent but there are certain things that we as

people do so regularly that are so innate to our

being that we never end up getting education in it and it's so obviously oxymoronic

given that some of these things are the most important things we could be learning or getting better at.

And for me, one of those things is the act of making a decision.

We literally make hundreds of decisions every single day.

Some decisions are conscious and others are

subconscious. I decide to set an alarm. I decide to brush my teeth. I decide to record

this podcast. I decide how to block out time in my calendar.

I decide what topic I'm going to talk about on Founders Journal today.

But if you think about it, when have we ever received an education and how to make decisions?

For me, my education and decision making

has been partly self-taught,

partly looking on the fringes of the internet,

not in traditional institutions,

for people that are thinking about this topic. So one example would be Shane Parish. institutional institutions.
