Summary

The month of June commemorates LGBTQ Pride. For many LGBTQ individuals, Pride events are a way to spread visibility, create a sense of belonging, and celebrate how far they have come. For some, however, Pride might seem dangerous or scary. This week we are joined by Erika Munson to talk about the decision of whether or not to go to Pride, as well how to make Pride a safe and memorable experience.

0:17.9	perspectives. Today's question is, should I go to pride? Ben and I are not terribly diverse
0:23.8	and we share many opinions and life experiences.
0:26.4	For example, both of us love to hike
0:28.4	and spend quite a bit of time exploring different trails.
0:31.2	However, there are some pretty big differences. For example, I like hikes for the
0:35.2	journey and Charlie is all about the destination. It's true. And Charlie, we've been on a hike before. We hike
0:40.4	squat beach together. Yeah, we did last summer. It was fun. But we did not make out at the top.
0:45.5	That is what? Squad because I know for we to make out a spot.
0:48.6	I'm just so shocked that you said that on the podcast we definitely did not but maybe we
0:55.9	shouldn't put that in there that's fine I thought you said we did not make it to the
0:59.6	top and I was like yes we, it's all about the destination.
1:03.2	Well, Squabika is my favorite hike in the Provo area because it's like three different hikes
1:09.1	because first you're in the canyon, so it's all rocky, then you're in the woods and
1:12.3	there are these beautiful mountain meadows.
1:14.0	Yeah, it is nice. It's a really nice journey, and the destination is good too.
1:17.0	Yeah, great view of the valley, view of the Wasatch. We love it.
