Smarter News. Well, good morning, everybody. Welcome to Scoop on Monday, November 3rd, November.

It feels weird to say it, and here we are. The live chat is up and

running and dynamic today. We're talking about hiking in Utah. We're talking about Christmas

decorations. We're talking about margaritas. I don't know where this conversation goes from here.

But thank you to all of you on the

live chat and to our insiders for supporting us. I do have a quick business announcement related to

our insiders. So for those of you who are listening on podcasts, we do have an insider group for the

price of a cup of coffee once a month. It's just a show of support for smarter news. You get invited

to our live broadcast, live interviews, and you get a few other perks as well, special discounts,

special first looks. It's just a way that we can bring each other together for a little bit smaller

community than what we see on social media. We get to know each other. It's actually a lot of fun.

And part of the perks for this group was an ad-free podcast that we just started actually over the summer. Before that, we had no ads at all. And then we decided, well, could we partner with some

businesses so that for those that don't feel compelled to be an insider, which we

totally understand.

We want to make smarter news as big and as accessible as possible as many people as possible.

We thought, well, maybe the technology has increased enough that we could have better oversight

over some of our partnerships.

And that gets into a longer conversation about how podcasting works right now. Anyhow, the bottom line is, is we had an

ad-free podcast, and then we had to quickly move platforms. So if you are used to an ad-free podcast

and you're a scoop insider, or you're someone that would like to opt for an ad-free podcast as a way to support smarter news. Just want to let you know that it's in a bit of a hiatus in the moment, but it's coming. And I think it's coming with an increase in benefits for being an insider. So thank you to those of you supporting us. Thanks for your patience as well, because we gave you something that we quickly took it away, which is something that we don't want to do, but we want to do it right. And we had a few lessons that we learned very quickly in the last couple months. And I think it's going to be better than ever. So thank you so much for that.
