Shortcomings, which is in theaters

right now, so mask up, go see it. And it is directed by Randall Park. Yes, you know him as a

talented actor, but this is his feature film debut as a director. Now, you know, I saw Shortcomings

as Sundance and was a huge fan of the film. It really

spoke to me. It's a fantastic adaptation of a graphic novel. No, there's no superheroes in it.

It's about a film slacker. I just said that. But there's too many good things to say, and we're

going to get into them today in today's podcast so i highly recommend that you support

he was very forthcoming about his creative process and what it took

to get this film made so I know you'll dig this episode.

Now, of course, as you know, we are in the midst of a WGA and SAG after strike, and there's

rumors that the studio is coming back to the negotiating table this week even, but who knows where that's going to lead.

And there's a lot of strike rules. And I just want everybody to know, Randall reached out to

SAG to make sure that he was able to do this interview along with the other interviews he was doing.

And they said yes, they gave him permission because really this is a DGA director speaking today.
