Today it is not happy hour. We got a lot going on in the news. We're going to do a lot of campaign news.

Some October 7th news, how everyone is marking that, including the anti-Semites, and some hurricane news, which is Milton's barreling toward Florida.

And it's looking pretty scary. So we will talk about that. But before we get to that,

Hello, Mary Catherine. In addition to all this news, I have to start, unfortunately, with some

distressing news, which is I received a text the other day that said, this is your reminder.

You have a blood test on Thursday.

If I only knew that, perhaps we would have changed the schedule of the Pumpkin Spice episode,

followed by the lobster I had at the palm from my mother-in-law's 82nd birthday.

I hope she doesn't mind me revealing the age. She does not look a day over 60. And then I would, but I was like, you know what, I really

wanted a steak so that I grilled a steak the next day. And then there was a leftover hamburger

patties. I'm like, well, we might as well cook up some hamburger patties on Sunday. And so it was

just a real meatorama and martini and on Sunday. And so it was just a real

meat-o-rama and martini and some wine. And now I have this thing. So I've decided the only, I like to

prepare way ahead for these blood tests, which are maybe twice a year. I'm just not eating anything.

So I want to apologize in advance to our listeners in case I become

incoherent, much like our president and just making no sense, like our vice president.

It's because I've begun my fast now. You're supposed to fast. I think they say eight hours,
