So mom's just wants her kids happiness to match her own right now.

And I think that's probably impossible.

divorce. I don't care if you're four or 14 or 34 or whatever.

And in this particular case, this email is, um, they've been married for almost 30 years.

So like, all the kids are in pain and mom's like, well, I'm happy now.

My parents have been married for 28 years.

My mom dropped the bomb that she was divorcing my dad a year ago in May.

They had a rocky marriage, so it was understandable, but pretty surprising how quickly it happened.

And how closed she was to any effort towards reconciliation.

Their divorce was finalized three weeks ago.

She moved into a new home this weekend, her first since leaving our childhood home a year ago.

It was supposed to be a quote, new start with a cookout after a move in with all of my siblings.

We found out right before showing up to start moving that we'd be meeting her new boyfriend.
