Oh my goodness. My kid is six.

Went back to first grade last Friday.

And while I still have a two-year-old

at home, she doesn't talk to me endlessly without interruption and does not expect me

to answer questions like how blue whales fit into the sun, mom, and just know the answer.

Also, I am standing right now in a quiet house.

It's so quiet and delightful. I love my son to no end. A man he needed to go back for both his sanity and safety and mine. Yes, school. Thank goodness. Man, look, I'm not even going to lie to y'all. I am so happy school that started back. Listen, them little demons had to get out of my house

for the summer I cannot stand it.

I don't even understand why they don't even have

like just mandatory year-round school.
