Jesus is watching you today. He has his eye on you at this very moment. That thought can be both

convicting and comforting at the same time.

There was a little woman, a widow woman in Mark chapter 12 that was going about her

duty to the Lord, that was doing what God had given her to do with very little thought about

this, I'm sure, but Jesus had his eye on her. In Mark chapter 12 and verse number 41 we read, and Jesus sat over

against the treasury and beheld how the people cast money

into the treasury and many that were rich cast in much.

There came a certain poor widow and she threw in two mites which make a farthing.

And he called unto him, his disciples and saith unto them, verily I say unto you that this poor widow

have cast more in than all they which have cast into the treasury.

For all they did cast in of their abundance.

But she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living. Jesus was watching her.

I have here in my office today a widow's might, at least something that would have been from that

time period in Israel. Someone brought up to me from the land of the Bible many years ago. And it is so small,

it seems so very insignificant when you hold it in your hand. This woman had very little, and yet

she throws in two mites into the treasury. She's giving here at the temple, into the treasury,

from which the poor would be cared for, and lots of temple things

would be cared for. She's doing her part. The beautiful thing, though she was insignificant to many,
