I can't imagine how deep the mind F would be to find out that the guy that you've been

calling your dad for all these years and maybe you're 30 years old isn't your biological dad or when you're doing these 23 and me is

finding out you have family right down the street that you had no idea about

it all. I have a friend who recently told me the story and I had no idea this had happened to her. So she

grew up without a dad, never knew who her dad was, mom would never tell her anything

about it, never knew any of her dad's side of the family, nothing.

Some of us would say that's a lucky break.

Yes, some would.

But you could understand she would have questions

about her father.

And so one day, she was in English class and the assignment was

right about a notable figure in your life so she wrote about the absence of her

father and how she never knew who he was. She always wondered what was his life like.

Why isn't he involved all of these things and she turned it in like you do to her English

professor and he read it and the next day he came back and goes I had

no idea you didn't know I'm your uncle what yes just like that yes your dad is my

brother-in-law I'm your uncle. She had no idea. It was her senior year of high school.

Mom had never told her because I asked him like, why did he feel like he could disclose this if he knew like your family?

And he's like, I just assume mom had told her and she

wanted nothing to do with our side of the family so I was respecting that since I

was her teacher of keeping all personal life out of it we were just just a teacher-student relationship, but after I found out that
