Hi, I'm Dave.

At the start of the Myrtle Beach Marathon and Half Marathon, it's a big day.

No, I'm not running, but my wife, Ava, is. And she is off to run 13.1 miles. And I am so proud of her and I am now starting to walk as she is starting to run.

This is a big deal because as I've mentioned before, she was in an auto accident about a year and three months ago two days after Christmas and before

that accident she was she was a runner she had run in quite a few marathons half

marathons some ultramarathons, 5Ks.

And the accident put her in a wheelchair for a couple of months.

And this is her first significant, significant long-distance race since that accident.

She did run a 5K.

Actually we both did on Thanksgiving.

It was a turkey trot.

So yeah, Ava just started her first half marathon, her first significant race since the accident two days after Christmas in 2020.

She had more than a dozen broken bones. Quite a few of those were in her pelvis and sacrum.
