I think St. Patrick's Day is becoming, as Sherry said the other day, like Halloween, it goes not just for a day or so.

It goes for like a week and a half or two weeks, and I'm thinking drinking has something to do with that.

But anyway, happy St. Patrick's Day.

Would you like to hear some Irish slang words that most of us don't know,

but you might, you know, be able to incorporate them into your everyday, if you like them,

everyday vocabulary.

The first one is a ride.

A ride is an attractive person, but it can also refer to something else, and you can

probably guess what that is.

A gaff.

It's another word for house. You might hear a teenager say,

we've got a free gaff. That means their parents are not at home and they're having a party.
