Well, we're standing in the midst of a moment tonight in human history

that a number of the world's leaders, including our own Secretary of State, have called

the greatest refugee crisis since the Second World War.

And that's significant language.

What they're saying with that is that our children are going to study this moment in history.

That your grandkids will read about these days

and the political implications of it,

that they'll write papers on it,

that they'll watch movies about the mass executions

and the war crimes and the devastation

that's happening in our day.

And yet the reality is they're also going to read about us and say, what did we do in the face of such destruction?

And it's interesting, we're talking tonight about this conflict in Syria that has enveloped not just the Middle East but

has drawn in nations as far flung as Russia and France and the US and as soon as we

talk about this some of you maybe know a little bit about it I've seen a little

bit about it on the news it gets so confusing like what's going on over there I

don't even know what's going where and how
