Welcome to Shaker Heights, Episode 4 Chinese Whispers.

16-year-old Lisa Prude was stabbed to death behind a mansion in Shaker Heights, Ohio,

on September 14, 1990.

Her murder remains unsolved.

This is the story of how the police detectives in a small town were led to believe the

weird kid in school did it, based on nothing but testimony, from a group of teens who were

friends with Lisa's boyfriend, Dan Dreifer.

What you will hear are actors, reading from actual police interviews conducted during

the course of their investigation.

No words have been changed, and the interviews remain in chronological order so that you

can see how the case against Kevin Young was constructed.

At the Shaker Heights Police Department interviewing one Christopher in Jones.

Mr. Jones, can you continue your statement?

Dan was pretty angry about being a suspect, or the way they portrayed that.

Pretty much from there, many people came and left Dan's house that night.

Eventually, me and Dan Messinger got a ride from Scott Free Arrow to the Pruitts house.

We talked to Mr. Pruitt.

We went up into their house and spent a little time in Lisa's room.

Then me and Dan Messinger were going to walk home.

We got a ride about halfway to Dan's house from Randy Stokes.

We got back to Dan Dreifer's house, and I spent the night there.
