0:37.0	16-year-old Lisa Prude was stabbed 21 times by an unknown assailant on September 14, 1990,
0:46.3	in Shaker Heights, Ohio. A well-to-do suburb on Cleveland's east side. Her body was found
0:54.3	about 100 feet from her boyfriend's back door, where he lived with his parents and sister.
1:01.1	This boyfriend, Dan Dryford, had been released from a mental institution earlier that day.
1:10.1	After the murder, Dan's friends gathered to discuss the murder in likely suspects. We'll
1:16.7	never know exactly what was discussed at these private meetings of grief-stricken children.
1:23.9	But we know that after those meetings, Dan's friends went to Shaker Heights Police
1:28.9	detectives and said they believed that Kevin Young had killed Lisa Prude out of jealousy
1:36.0	over her relationship with Dan.
1:40.5	The police searched Kevin's house and found no murder weapon or bloody clothes. Nothing
1:46.3	at all to link him to the crime scene, and he had an alibi.
1:51.9	As the investigation continues, an interview with 18-year-old Stanley Kramer implicates
1:57.9	Dan Dryford's father and a possible conspiracy of silence. By now, Shaker Heights Police
2:05.3	detectives have interviewed the men and women who had the means, motive, and opportunity
2:12.1	to commit the crime. And they've heard from a handful of teenagers at Shaker Heights
2:17.7	High School who regard Kevin Young with hatred and suspicion.
2:23.6	The case takes a turn that Monday, just three days after Lisa's murder. That's when
2:29.0	the police detectives decide it was Kevin Young who committed the crime.
2:35.2	What follows is a statement by a lead detective in the case, which explains how FBI profilers
2:42.8	helped convince them it was probably Kevin who committed the crime.
