One of our favorite guests and an all-round really good guy. It's Dr. Mike Loria. How are you? Hey, doing good, guys. Thanks for having me back. Pleasure to be here. Oh, of course. So you guys probably remember Dr. Michael Luria from one of our previous episodes. that was a rage against the machine themed episode.

And yeah, you looked great joining our... Gloria from one of our previous episodes. It was a rage against the machine themed episode.

And yeah, you look great joining our band, man. It was fun to Photoshop your head on different

things. I do wonder if there's some guests that like know the show and they're like,

man, I don't know, I don't know because I don't know what my face is going to end up on. You know,

like I don't know like where I'm going to be. It's always a mystery. But we always like to start the show with just a shred of banter. And today I want to talk about a little bit about Fast 26. It's an upcoming conference. It's going to be in Austin, Texas. We're cohabitating with EMS World down there as well. And I recently got to teach a class with a mutual friend of everybody here, and that is Bruce Hoffman, who is also going to be speaking at Fast 26.

Bruce is just a phenomenal human being and also a phenomenal instructor.

But I have to tell you this

story about Bruce. It's very Bruce. It's very funny. And so. This one I got to go. Oh, yeah. So we all end up

going out to eat, right? And we go to get dinner and I get like a table for three. And we go there

and it's a high top. and I didn't know this. Bruce

joins up. He goes, hey man, did you guys like request the high top? And I'm like, not really. He's like, I hate high tops. And I'm like, oh, what's up with the high top? And he's like, I'm always friend I'm going to drop something and it's just a long way for it to go. Right. Like it's going break. And this is a fear that I never had before, but I do now. So thanks, Bruce, because you

look down all of a sudden, it's kind of like, whoa, we are up here away. And so now I'm like watching the edges of the table. Plus, it's around high top, so we're lacking corners. And so finally, you know, we're just like, hey, let's see if we can just go get a different table. And so, you're like, before I didn't give a crap of this beer fell off the table, but now.

Exactly.

Yeah. Well, and I also thought because I'm like, I'm thinking about the sound it would make, you know, which is actually a scientific fact. If something is your fault, it's louder. And so that's, well, it's knocked over an EKG machine in an ER and that came to be.

But anyway, so, so Bruce and we had to grabbing the wait staff and saying like, hey,

if we could.

And Bruce is very polite.

And he's like, it really, guys, if it's like it's not so much trouble, like, no, we're
