Tremel Tillman plays Mr. Milchick on Severance, the bizarre, fascinating,

sci-fi, workplace comedy drama show on Apple TV Plus.

And I don't think it's spoiling much to say that Mr. Milchick is a villain. He oversees a handful of

employees at Lumen who are severed. The workers, who are called the innies, have no memory of life

outside the office. And their outies, the same people who aren't at work, don't remember anything

that happens once they clock in.

Milchick, as a boss, is a friendly guy. He has a big generous smile. He leads team-building sessions

and dance parties. He knows the value of a good add-a-boy for his employees. He's also a taskmaster,

an enforcer of Lumen's many, many rules, a disciplinarian when things

aren't running smoothly. And if you've seen Severance, you know things haven't been running

all that smoothly at Lumen. If you haven't seen the show, just a heads up, we'll talk about

some spoilers from the first season.

Anyway, Tremel Tellman is wonderful as Mr. Milchick.

Menacing, warm, funny, chilling, goofy, sometimes all at once.

He and I talked earlier this year.

He's since been nominated for his first ever Emmy for the part.
