It is 4th of July week.

It's Monday, July 2nd, and I'm Tim Priester with Tim O'Malley and Pete Sampson.

Talking a little bit about the freshmen, the freshmen have arrived.

They've been here actually for a couple weeks now.

Tom Loy is in Dallas for the opening. Nordame had a verbal commitment from a really talented, highly touted

tight-in, Michael Mayer, who they can team with Kevin Baumann now in the class of 2020.

And we'll continue our talk about Notre Dame upcoming opponent, Stanford and Virginia Tech. But let's start

with a freshman. We don't, Pete, I don't think you've heard information-wise anything different

than I have at this point other than Phil Djokovic looks like a really good quarterback.

Yeah, that's pretty much it to date, is that Jerkoic passes all look tests as you would expect and

you know as this was sort of discussed on the board a little bit that the first

impressions that I got last year were highly highly indicative of how the season was

going to go and a few years or not we may look back and say those first impressions

were indicative of how their careers went.

You know, to recap, that was Darnell Yule looked like he was not close to being ready,

but stock was way up on Myron Tungo Vaila Omosa.

Kurt Heinish was a little bit of a surprise at this time last year.

People like Michael Young, Cole Comette was billed as a future superstar to me, and Jordan,

Jen Marquith, was sort of intriguing.

Flipside with Ewell, were the two freshman linebackers, David Adams and Drew White, were sort of like,

eh, how is this going to fit together?
