How about looking for opportunities to serve others while we're walking?

This is a podcast of action, providing a little extra motivation to help you keep that fitness promise you made to yourself.

Hi, I'm Dave. I've been walking for fitness since 2013, averaging about 21,000

steps a day. I'm walking right now and would love to have you join me for the next 10 minutes. So today's

walk is a little bit different. I have in my left hand, a bag, plastic bag. In my right hand, I have a my left hand a bag, plastic bag.

In my right hand, I have a purple glove.

And I'm putting that glove on as I speak.

And what I'm going to be doing today as I walk is picking up trash.

And over here is a water bottle. So it's down a hill a little bit off the sidewalk.

And so we're going to put the water bottle in the trash can.

Trash can. In my trash bag. And that's what I'm going to be doing as we walk looking for trash that's laying along the sidewalk and picking that up,

putting it in my trash bag, taking it home and throwing it in my trash can.

So we have opportunities as we are walking to use our walking to serve other people.

We've got a neighbor who recently had some surgery done.

She has a little dog that she walks every day multiple times.

She was not able to walk her dog.

And I happened to notice this the other day, a neighbor friend of hers walked over to Jill's

house and took boo, that's the dog's name, took boo out for a walk.

So Susan was using her walk to serve her friend Jill.

All right, looks like some trash over here.

It's a piece of a napkin.
