My mother, Cl Nix, made name Donnelly, died two days ago, and today is her requiemass.

Her funeral will be next week.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry.

I'm her firstborn, Father David Nix.

Her second born is Michael Nix, and his wife, Brendan, their child, Addie.

And then her third is Megan Wheatel, married to Luke Weedle, and their five children.

I also want to thank the priests of the FSSP.

It's always very difficult to accommodate a Requiemastering Holy Week.

That's one reason why my mom's funeral and burial is next week is the Archdiocese in Mortuary

is closed this week.

But it's so important that we have this opportunity to make reparation for my mother's sins shortly after her passing.

And so it means a lot to me that you're here, and I would very much encourage you to pray for my mother.

My mom was born on the south side of Chicago. She's 100% Irish. And she was really one of the

most generous people I've ever met, constantly selfless. And I'm not going to use today to describe a lot of

her life. But often, we need to look at everything during Holy Week through the eyes of the cross and the resurrection.

And I would say that this includes a Requiem Mass. A Requiem Mass in Holy Week needs to look at the end of somebody's life through the eyes of the cross and the resurrection.
