Nick Cosodas was a Navy Jag, a trained prosecutor.

After divorcing his first wife, he was hit with a $1.5 million divorce judgment. Then Nick and his second wife Mindy went on the run.

But what were they running from?

Was it that seven-figure judgment or was someone out to do them harm?

Mindy ended up murdered and dismembered.

Prosecutors say it was Nick who did it. But Cosotas took the stand and denied all the charges,

pointing the finger at a mysterious figure he calls Jim McIntyre, a man who many believe does not even exist. Well, now all the evidence is in and the jury has spoken and we have all the fallout from today's dramatic verdict.

But first, it was Thanksgiving of 1998 when Norma Patton said goodbye to her daughter, Melissa, and told her that she loved her.

That would be the last conversation they would ever have.

Melissa went missing, and for years it remained a mystery.

But in reality, part of the mystery was solved within a year when some of her remains were recovered

chopped up in black trash bags in Atlanta Georgia not far from where she lived but for several years

those remains were unidentified until 2003 when the Flint River killer was arrested, a man who admitted to being a serial killer.

That man is also Melissa's father. But then, once again, it would take years, decades, for someone to actually be charged with Melissa's murder.

And it wasn't her father.

It was her husband, Christopher Walthenbarger.
