Summary

Today we’re revisiting our conversation with one of the greatest athletes of all time, Serena Williams, who just made news with Vogue by opening up about using GLP-1 Zepbound after her pregnancy. Almost three years ago, she made news again when she announced she’s taking a step back from tennis in the September issue of Vogue

In our first-ever episode of The Run-Through, Serena shared what life looks like post-tennis; everything from being a mom, a VC with Serena Ventures and a children's book author.

The Run-Through with Vogue is your go-to podcast where fashion meets culture. Hosted by Chloe Malle, Head of Editorial Content, Vogue U.S.; Chioma Nnadi, Head of British Vogue; and Nicole Phelps, Director of Vogue Runway, each episode features the latest fashion news and exclusive designer and celebrity interviews.

So naturally, the perfect guest was the greatest of all time, the goat

0:22.4

herself, Serena Williams. Choma and I did this interview back in 2022 when Serena announced

1:19.3

She's eating healthy. She just felt like she could never get back to the baseline she wanted to be

1:25.4

after the birth of her two daughters.

1:28.3

And it was very frustrating for her since her performance and her body performing had been such an important part of her life for so long.

1:35.6

So it was interesting to hear that perspective on weight loss.

1:39.4

And it became a big news moment because for better or for worse, people have been very focused on Serena's

1:44.6

body for a long time. So I think that makes it even more interesting to talk to Serena,

1:50.0

which three years ago it was even closer to, it was before the birth of her second daughter,

1:54.6

and her first daughter, Olympia, was a bit younger. And so hearing her talk about motherhood
