Summary

Gene and Randall presents paranormal investigator John Olsen, who says he grew up in a haunted house! John has spent the last 25 years interviewing and documenting first-hand accounts of those who have witnessed all kinds of strange and unusual phenomena in the western United States. The Stranger Bridgerland series, currently consisting of three books, contains firsthand accounts of everything from ghosts, monsters and hauntings, to glitches in the matrix, Sasquatch and UFOs. But just hearing about the personal paranormal encounters of John and his family may be quite enough to demonstrate that something really strange is going on.

1:12.2	You know how that works. Anyway, we, you know, have had just some great, great episodes of the
1:18.2	Paracast week after week. And last week we had David Halperin. And David, of course, has not a unique view of UFOs, but one that goes against the E.T. grain,
1:32.9	that it's the collective unconscious, basically echoing the book by the late Carl Young around 1960 or so.
1:43.1	But were you convinced, Randall, that maybe you should look less at E.T.?
1:47.0	Well, what I really like about David is that he's got his own unique approach. And it's very
1:55.1	constructive. And it's quite academic. It's intelligent. And it's worth listening to. I think it represents a particular niche of the field of uphology. I don't think that it's a wide enough view to really fully appreciate the field. But it's certainly a valuable one. And I think that anyone
2:20.1	that takes the time to listen to what he has to say with an open mind can't help but come away
2:24.6	thinking, because that's what it does, is he makes you think. And he knows whereof he speaks in a lot of
2:30.9	areas because he is a retired religious scholar specializing in
2:36.1	Judaic studies. So when we had him on the show with Eric von Danigan, he's systematically
2:41.8	dissecting what von Danikin says using his knowledge of scripture to back him up. And he does in a very quiet, gentle way.
