You know, one of the things I like to do on the Paracast when I meet a guest is to make sure I pronounce their name

correctly because you know what's the worst thing you know like people used to call me

schnitzelberger now don't laugh but and my tongue work that's we, I just realized, I didn't realize this before,

that our guest, Jeff Belanger, and my French is bad,

appeared on the paracast back on June 10th, 2007.

That was two co-hosts ago. Imagine that. And it's like 12 years, Jeff. How have you been for the

past 12 years? Well, where to begin? I guess June 2007 to now, we have to get caught up.

I've been good. I've been still doing my thing and love and life. I had a child since I spoke to you last. She's 12

and a half now. Yeah, things have been been really good. Is she sort of like one of those

little goth chicks like from Beetlejuice? Or did she still do that? I don't know. No, it's funny.

I'm very careful not to try to push her in any direction.

God knows I wouldn't wish being a paranormal person or a folklorist or a writer on anyone, especially my daughter.

But she does get to tag along sometimes, and she's been on a few adventures.

And I think she thinks it's kind of cool but it's more

dad's thing so she leaves the weird goth stuff to me she doesn't have the feeling then that dad

maybe is a little bit cuckoo no she's figured that out um she you know it's funny to watch him get older

because when they're really young, whatever you do is normal.

Like, that's their normal. And once they get a little older and start to experience friends,

parents, and dads and so on, I think then she started to grasp, yeah, my dad's different.

But, you know, we have fun.
