In Georgia, a teenager was walking home from the bus stop after a long day of school and was shot.

Over the weekend, a man from South Carolina was arrested in connection to a shooting after

confiding in what he believed was a trusted source.

In Idaho, years after a woman mysteriously disappeared, law enforcement captured a suspect in the case.

The investigation also led them to additional victims of other heinous crimes.

And down in Texas, police arrested a suspect in the case of a road rage murder that occurred in

2023.

The suspect was in front of the police at the crime scene. All of this coming at you right now here on

Sword and scale daily. On Thursday afternoon, 15 year old Erkavion Lee of Columbus, Georgia was on his way home from school. By all means, it appeared

to be just another day for the teenager. When the school bus arrived at a stop at the 2,300

block of Watson Drive, Ercavian got up from a seat and departed from the bus.

But moments after stepping off the bus,

shots rang out and Ercavian fell to the ground.

Officers with the Columbus Police Department or Kavionn fell to the ground.

Officers with the Columbus Police Department responded to the scene and provided life-saving measures

while EMS was en route.

He was taken to a local area hospital, but at 5.15m. just a few short hours after he arrived

Ercavion was pronounced dead. For Ercavion's family his death was the second

tragedy they had to endure this year.

Back in February, his brother, Urquis Porter Jr. was shot and killed in Columbus.
