The Washington Post and the New York Times posted stories within one minute of each other last night,

reporting that the conversation that caught the ear of an intelligence whistleblower was between President Donald Trump and the Ukrainians.

Wapos posted at 804 p.m. and the New York Times at 805. The post writes, the complaint involved

communications with a foreign leader and a promise that Trump made, which was so alarming that a U.S.

intelligence official who had worked at the White House went to the Inspector General of the intelligence community, two former U.S. intelligence official who had worked at the White House went to the Inspector General

of the intelligence community. Two former U.S. officials said,

The Times reports the allegations involve at least one time where Trump made an unspecified

commitment to a foreign leader. Then Rudy Giuliani went on Chris Cuomo's CNN show last night,

and Twitter exploded. Asked whether he asked Ukraine to look into Joe Biden.

Giuliani responded, of course I did. Here's the question everyone is asking. What do Democrats do here?

The intelligence community has balked at providing the whistleblower report. And Representative

Adam Schiff has threatened a lawsuit. Here's some food for thought. Has Washington ever been so frozen and so handcuffed by a

president and his wins? Republicans say they want to tighten gun laws, but they won't dare to

utter a word about what kind of gun control legislation they would support until President

Donald Trump makes clear what he would support. The president, meanwhile, has been completely silent.

Burgess Everett is up with a piece in the Senate surrendering to Trump on guns with a spicy

quote from Johnny Isaacson, who told him this is the first time in history, where the president

sets the agenda every day when he tweets at four in the morning. Democrats are having trouble

conducting oversight because the White House is succeeding in dictating the terms under which they could do it.

The White House has blocked material witnesses. Those that they can't block come to Capitol Hill and don't talk.
