Here are your Washington headlines for the day. Six days until a shutdown. Number two,

Mansion splits with Democrats and what Pelosi is up to on reconciliation. And number three,

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer filed cloture, which means he's looking to break the Republican

gridlock, the Republican filibuster on the House past government funding bill. Now remember,

today's six days, six days until the government shuts down and the Senate is not

going to take up a vote to fund the government until Monday.

Now, this is what Schumer said last night.

Every single member in this chamber is going on record as to whether they support keeping

the government open and averting a default or support shutting us down and careening our country toward a default.

That's Schumer on the Senate floor last night. So what to make of this? I mean, listen, I do believe

that Congress is going to avoid a shutdown. It seems like that at this point. Earlier this week,

we didn't understand how, but here's how it's going to happen.

So this vote Monday night is going to fail.

They're not going to get cloture.
