I'm continuing on in part two of this five-part series, which is

answering some of the most frequently and relevant questions to today's SEO landscape.

Let's go ahead and get right into this episode's big SEO question. That question is,

should I update post that are already on the first page of Google?

Myself along with many other experts are in agreement that you should leave posts that rank either number one or number two the way they are.

While Google's algorithm does have five to ten core factors that determine rankings,

there are also hundreds of other influencing factors in the algorithm.

When you are already nestled in the top two spots,

it is best not to rattle the cage of the 800-pound algorithm gorilla.

This goes for all in-post content changes.

Just changing the words in a single header or swapping out an image could put your

top ranking in jeopardy.
