Summary

“You cannot be bright in a darkened world unless you have walked in the path of truth.” In week two of our new series, BE BRIGHT, Pastor Louie Giglio wants us to remember that what the World needs is for all of us to be transformed by the Word of God so that when God sends us into the World we shine brightly. It’s not enough just to be right all of the time if we are not shining with the love, the compassion, the grace, and the mercy of Jesus.

0:23.0	There's been a saying in the church all my life, maybe you've heard it as well.
0:27.0	As Christians, we're called to be, say it with me, if you know it, in the world, but not of the world.
0:35.0	This has sort of been the calling card for those who follow Jesus.
0:39.0	We're supposed to be in the world, but not of the world.
0:43.0	And that's true to a degree, but I think there's a bigger idea that God wants you and I to see today,
0:49.0	and it really focuses around the in part of that statement.
0:54.0	That God is calling us to be influencers on planet earth.
1:00.0	That we are, Jesus said, the salt of the earth, we are the light of the world.
1:08.0	In other words, the impact and the influence that we are called to have in the world is paramount.
1:15.0	We are the salt of the earth.
1:18.0	We are God's agent to bring kingdom ideas and kingdom truth into this world.
1:25.0	He said, you are the light of the world.
1:30.0	Jesus was the light of the world, but Jesus isn't walking through your office this week.
1:36.0	You are the light of the world as Jesus walks through your office through you.
1:42.0	And this is the beauty and the power of being followers of Jesus.
1:48.0	We are called to be influencers on planet earth.
1:53.0	You are called not to be influenced by this culture, but to be an influence in this culture by another culture, an eternal culture.
2:06.0	And Jesus takes that idea even further in John's Gospel chapter 17,
