Welcome to the news and why it matters. I am Sarah Gonzalez and Democrat Senator Diane Feinstein,

who was 90 years old, passed away at her Washington, DC, home shortly after casting her final

Senate vote yesterday morning. The Senate held a moment of silence in her honor on Friday morning

and a vase of white roses sat on her desk, which was draped in a black cloth.

Senate Democrat leader Chuck Schumer led senators in a moment of silence and appeared to choke up

when he paid tribute to her legacy watch. Majority leaders recognized. I ask that the Senate

observe a moment of silence in honor of Senator Diane Feinstein.

And they continued to pay her a moment of silence. Obviously, the Senator had a lot of health issues

throughout the last year or so. She was briefly hospitalized for several months.

There she had shingles and she had the fall was what had her hospitalized. But I want to play.
