All right, Jake, happy Thursday. Let's talk here about the latest on the government shutdown.

There is no end in sight to this crisis. We continue to write that every morning because that is the

case. That's the truth. It is the truth here.

But let's talk about this because it's really interesting the dynamics here.

We are going to be having votes in the Senate, not just on the CR, but both Republicans and Democrats,

teeing up different provisions when it comes to federal employees who have not been paid to get them to be paid.

But despite the bills and maybe the pain that both sides are trying to extract on that,

neither seem to be blinking and they're not expected to pass.
