Hey everybody, welcome back to the Punch Bull News Townhouse. We are on day 23 of the government shutdown.

Both sides are incredibly dug in,

and there's no resolution in sight in this crisis. I'm Anna Palmer here with. And I'm Jake Sherman.

The one and only, I guess. The impacts of the shutdown are starting to be felt across the country.

We talked about this in the newsletter this morning that snap, the big food

stamp benefit is going cold, dry, is stopping in states across the country. This is not a small

thing, Anna. This is not a small thing. There are tens of millions of people around the country

who benefit from supplemental nutrition programs, ways to buy food, and ways to stay alive.

And these programs are saying the federal government has no more money for us.

And we're going to talk about all of this, the shutdown with James Blair, who is the White House
