going to skip third period or fifth period or six period, whatever it was, you also had to skip first because you had to be on the official attendance as being absent. If you weren't, you're busted. Because if you just didn't show up in fourth period, but you're not on that attendance sheet for the day, I ain't going to get it done, buddy.

So if I was going to skip any other period later in the day, which might have happened,

I also had to skip first period. So where'd you go? So I skipped hell out of some first period. So it was funny when the, well, for first period, I would go to a breakfast place. Oh, okay. So I would have to pay extra for soda. But when the yearbooks came out, there was a picture of our class, Mr. Cox's class. And I knew I was like,

there's no way I'm going to be in that because the kids were passed around the yearbooks and they're like, oh yeah, our class. And I was like, there's no way I'm in that picture. And sure enough, I was not in the picture. So. But it seems emblematic of what should have been that you would have an absentee photo Mr.

I also, the worst day of my, not the worst day, my worst day, my academic career. So I wasn't big into school, Jeff. And we'll talk about registers here in a second. I wasn't big into my academics. But so I just would try to get by. And so this is probably like the third or fourth nine weeks. And I knew I needed like a certain number of points to get a D. I knew I probably wasn't. You were just getting by. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I knew that I wasn't probably going to be able to get a C. But I had that D locked in with like, I don't know, 18 points and there's like 18 assignments. So I'm like, I'm golden. So I just didn't even turn in the last assignment. And I'm like, I got my 18 points. So then he would call us up to the front of the room to look at our grades. And I walk up there and there's an F. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no. I got 18 points. Indignant probably even. Well, when you don't turn in an assignment,

it's... And I walk up there and there's an F. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. No, I got 18 points.

Yeah.

Indignant probably even. Well, when you don't turn in an assignment, it's a zero, which counts it's two Fs. So now I had 19 grades. Oh. And now I got an F in that nine weeks. And I'm sure he was happy to explain that to you. Oh, he couldn't wait. He didn't have a problem at all.
