What is up everyone? Welcome back to the show. Today we have a couple of

interesting guests. My friend Sam from Vinder. Now, Vinder is this pretty

interesting app that basically connects you with other gardeners or even if you're not

a gardener will connect you with gardeners in general.

The point being to exchange or even sell your produce for some extra money on the side.

Now I think this is a cool idea because we talk a lot about you know reducing our food

miles buying from local farmers markets buying from local farmers in, buying from local farmers in general.

But what about buying from our neighbors?

This is hearkening back to times where we lived in small towns, even villages,

and we exchanged, we bordered for goods. You know know you went down to the cobbler he did your shoes

for you and you exchanged whatever trade you were good at with him. Obviously money

also involved at some points in time, but a really interesting idea

to use technology to reconnect us to our sense of community, to our neighbors, to our families

and friends. And so I'm going to go ahead and stop the intro there.

So yeah, maybe it makes sense to start with the beginning, right? How did you guys get into food in general,

gardening in general, and then how did you guys end up both working on vendor?

Yeah, so for me gardening started, I was introduced to gardening as a little kid.

My mother was a gardener and I remember being in the backyard and running through these giant

sunflowers and then tasting cherry tomatoes right off the vine.

That was my first initial experience with gardening but I personally didn't

get into it growing my own veggies until about three years ago with the start of vendor.
