ready to get your mind aligned with the truth of God's word. My name is Carrie Green. I'm a pastor and I am

your host for this venture. Into Romans chapter 2 is actually where we are today.

So I invite you to get your Bible out. We are going to walk through the scriptures and see what God's word has for us

episode today. All right as we jump into Romans chapter 2 we're going to be looking at

verses 17 through 24 so let's pray and ask God to guide us in our understanding of his word today.

Lord God we want to understand the things you're saying to us in the spirit in which you're saying them to us.

So open our hearts and minds to receive it as you intend,

and to apply it in the ways that make a difference

for your kingdom's sake.

We ask you to do that in Jesus' name. Okay, friends, Romans 2,

verses 17 through 24. Paul has been speaking to the issue of people who think they are religious and therefore okay in God's eyes.

And he's using the context of Jew and Gentile to make that illustration, because Paul himself was a Jew, many of his readers

were Jews and so he's using that very real circumstance for them to make his point.
