Today's episode was inspired by two things, a recent holiday that just passed Valentine's

Day, and the last mindful Monday meetup.

In this episode, I'm going to dive into my personal experience with self-love, how my

perception of it has changed over the years, and what I really think it means to love

ourselves.

Self-love is one of those popular terms that gets blown up on social media like it's a

Kardashian.

The phrase is popular, it's used to sell products, and somehow it's supposed to be obvious

to everyone how to actually give ourselves love.

Vera, the co-creator of mindful Mondays, made the best point last week in the class.

You reminded everyone that there is no product on the market that you can buy that's

going to make you love yourself.

Sure, bath bombs and candles and crystals are all amazing, but we have to dive deep into

the nitty gritty of our souls in order to reflect and start loving ourselves.

A lot of people may look at me now and think, oh my god, Tory, you're so confident and

you love yourself and you're so bold, but to be completely transparent, it took me years

of internal work in order to actually start loving myself.

Honestly, if you would have asked 23 year old me, I probably would have told you back

then that yes, I definitely love myself.

But in hindsight, how could someone who let themselves be in toxic relationships truly
