Let's talk about self-care. What was once synonymous with spa days and bubble baths

has become an active revolution in the workplace, but it's not a one-size-fits-all kind of routine.

When you hear self-care as a buzz word, people are often like, what does that mean?

And honestly, it does mean something a little different to everybody.

The beauty of where we are today, it's a community driven,

preventative, habitual, and really from the bottom up.

That's Mara Lighty. She and her friend Naomi here at Bayashi met at work 10 years ago.

They both really got the need for self-care as they pushed ahead in their careers.

But as young women of color, they felt left out by what was available.

Mainstream wellness apps seemed to represent one set of experiences.

Content was overly aspirational, voices mostly sounded the same.

It didn't work for them, so they decided to build something new.

Five years ago, Mara and Naomi launched the Shina to make taking care of mental health
