Yes, indeed, and today we toast 75-year-old John Russell of Triton, North Carolina.

Now, thank you.

John is something of a horse-training legends hometown and beyond, in fact, just last month.

Last month, the Carolina's show Hunter Hall of Fame anointed him, Horsemen of the Year.

That was just last month.

Well, this month, John was arrested and charged with felony cruelty to animals after he shot and killed a horse.

Now, before you think he's just a horse killer or that the horse was in distress,

you should know he wasn't even aiming at the horse.

No, he was trying to shoot his son who was riding the horse after they had an argument about God knows what.

But he missed his kid, ended up shooting the horse.

So in addition to his felony cruelty to animals charge, he was also hit with an assault on a person with a deadly weapon

with intent to kill a charge.
