Yes indeed and today we toast Elmo of Sesame Street fame.

Now Elmo debuted as a regular Sesame Street character with the season 17

premiere of the show back in 1985 and since then Elmo has played the role very

specifically of a quote character who's kind and loving and

for 39 years he has done exactly that.

Quick side note about Elmo they created this puppet late 70s okay and they couldn't quite figure out what kind of character

they wanted this Elmo guy to be so he would do like bit rolls on Sesame Street

but it was never what they wanted so one of the puppeteers just a quick aside got so

mad at the puppet and this is what everyone says he choked the thing and then threw

it at another puppeteer well the puppeteer he threw it to basically created the Elmo that we know today.

Which is an amazing thing.

Yeah, and the guy said, look, let's just make him all the characters, I've kind of a distinct personality.
