In the sermon on the Mount, after Jesus told his followers not to worry,

he then instructed them to seek first the kingdom of God above all else.

There seems to be a connection between not worrying and kingdom living.

The kingdom of God, also called the Kingdom of Heaven, can be defined as the fulfillment

on earth of God's will.

It's often perceived as a future place of living after death on earth, but Jesus taught

the kingdom of God is now. It's a particular level of human consciousness in our everyday living,

thinking, and thriving.

So find a quiet place where you can tune out the noise around you and within you. Set aside all distractions.

Take several slow, deep breaths as you begin to cultivate a kingdom state of mind. mind. Now, let's settle in and begin.

Continue taking several more centering breaths.

Be mindful of being fully present with Jesus in body, soul, mind, and spirit.

The Words of Jesus from Matthew 633 Seek the kingdom of God above all else and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.

If we're being honest, very seldom do we seek God's kingdom first.

We are reactive people. How often do we text or call someone or Google search a concern before we bring it to God and pray over it?

How often do we turn to comfort or ingrained habits first before we consult with God?

Things like control, anger, exercise, others' advice or opinions, scrolling our phones, food, are trying to find our own solutions.

When is it hardest for you to seek first God's ways?
