Summary

"Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and the rest will be given to you." Make God the center of your life, and you will be spiritually ordered in Christ's image. If you make wealth and security your center, you will be empty. You make the choice: will God be your center?

continent, and to facilitate and encounter with Christ and His Church. The efforts of

0:18.5

Word on Fire engage the culture and bring the transformative power of God's Word where

0:24.0

it is most needed. Today we invite you to join Bishop Robert Baron, as he preaches

0:29.8

the gospel and shares the warmth and light of Christ with each of us.

Peace be with you. Friends, today we continue our exploration of the greatest spiritual teaching

0:43.7

ever made, the sermon on the Mount. What a privilege we've had the last couple of weeks

0:49.7

to read through this programmatic sermon of the Lord. Having just considered last week

power, a passage which is entered into the collective consciousness of anyone on the

1:09.1

west. I mean anyone who's heard the gospel knows this passage. It's in their blood and

1:14.6

1:37.6

and the rest will be given unto you. I mean beautiful, memorable, arresting language.

1:46.1

Well I contend this teaching like last week's teaching also makes you wonder, can it really

1:53.6

be that easy? Do we just surrender everything to God? Let go of all of our worries, all of

2:03.5

our practical concerns and rely on providence. Be like the birds of the air, they don't

2:10.4

so or reap or gather into bars yet they are fed by their heavenly Father. You know, okay,

2:17.7

but wait, birds scavenge for food as much as we do and when they don't find it, they die. I mean

2:25.4

our things beautiful here are poetic but also not that easy. Where's this going on I think?
