So, Ron Mabani is seizing the moment to say that any contact between Cuomo and Trump would be disqualifying.

All right, Foxx, by political reporter Morgan McKeye, here to break it all down. Morgan. Hey, Steve Natasha. So former Governor Andrew Cuomo says he doesn't recall the last time he spoke with President Donald Trump,

but added that he did leave a message with Trump's team

following the assassination attempt against the president last year.

The New York Times is reporting that President Trump is considering

whether to intercede in the mayor's race

and has been speaking with pollsters and business leaders

about who might be best positioned to take on the Democratic nominee,

Zoran Mbondani. The Times adding that Trump even called Cuomo personally in recent weeks.

At the White House, President Trump denied speaking with Cuomo, but just last month, Trump publicly told reporters that he was pleased that Cuomo was staying in the race despite his primary defeat and said he has a good shot at winning.
