So today is our monthly open Q&A session.

And as usual, we have solicited questions from all of you.

Subhanna-allah, we got more than 100 questions in the span of five hours.

So I cannot do all of those, obviously.

I'm going to just try to do some of them,

inshallahua, and this is random and fast Q&A, inshallah. But sometimes some of these

questions require a little bit longer time. So let's begin with one of the most common questions.

We constantly get asked, all of the issue will get asked this. A person wasn't practicing

Islam, started practicing Islam started

practicing Islam and they have to make up Salah for many many years what do they do

is there something called Qazaa umari can we just do something one action get it

all done with right or you know can we go to Haram and pray one raka for 100,000 like

is there some buy one get one free scheme going on?

So, response to this question, this is one of the most common questions asked.

And as I explained multiple times, there are two opinions, both of which kind of sort of overlap.

The first opinion, which is the dominant, the majority opinion of our Ulema, is that you should try to make up

for all of the past Salawat you haven't prayed at a reasonable level.

So if you haven't prayed for, let's say, 10 years, try for the next 10 years to do double.

And that means you prioritize Qada over naffil and sunnah.

So instead of praying the sunnah of Zhaar, 2, 2, 2, 2, and then after, rather, if you haven't prayed for a decade, you pray the Fad of Zohar. After that, you pray another four, and that is the Qada for a door that you haven't done. And you do this roughly the same number of years that that you weren't praying and you try to be honest because in the end of the day you cannot be exactly sure but Allah knows you are trying and the second opinion which is in Tamiya's opinion is that there's no there's no kada but there is toba an extra naffil there's no qada per se but you still have to pray extra

as a sign of like you're trying your best to make up so both opinions say you pray extra
