Today's tip is that spring blooms are worth the bother.

Sometimes experiencing beautiful or memorable things can take a lot of effort, but that's okay.

Beautiful things are worth spending energy for, particularly if they are fleeting.

So I have become something of a

thing of a floral tourist of late. I went to Washington, D.C. two Tuesdays in a row in late March

in order to see the Cherry Blossoms at Peak Bloom.

I took the train from Philadelphia to DC, took a cab to the tidal basin, and then walked

around just gawking at the white and pink snowballs, clinging to the trees.

Millions of petals create a canopy of otherworldly beauty.

It's just the most amazing sight, and I'm glad to have seen it. I also made sure to get on the pre-sale
