Hey, what's going on? This is the Saturday down south podcast. I am kind of a cure. Will, how's Mother's Day?

Oh my gosh, it was amazing, man. We have a Mother's Day tradition where we just delete

crawfish. So we ordered whatever deleted. Yeah, if you're ever like really hungry like

I'm gonna go delete, you know, Chipotle, Brio or whatever. But yeah, no, so we ordered a good

like 10 to 12 pounds of crawfish. Me and my mom split it. My stepdad doesn't actually eat crawfish,

so we just get some micaltras, some Miller lights, and just crush these crawfish. And yeah, I got

to do that with my mom. She helped me work on a commercial, which was really cool, love

working with her, and just had an overall great, we could get this deep dive on Edwin Edwards,

a famous Louisiana governor, and just really growing up with Louisiana for her was just a wild time.

We had very different Mother's Day experiences. Yes, how was yours?

I had no mother to celebrate here. It was a phone call. It was a phone call.

Yeah, that's the difference between actually living within driving distance at your mom,

and living in a different time zone, and probably what would, yeah, what's like a three hour flight

or something like that. I did not necessarily celebrate Mother's Day here in the same sort of way.

It was more of a phone call, and also a panicked, I think I accidentally sent your gift

along with the stuff that I'm getting rid of to Amvets. That happened. That was quite the text to

be like, hey, mom, did you get my gift at like nine in the morning, on Sunday morning,

and she's like, actually, I might have given it away accidentally, because she's in the process

of clearing out a bunch of stuff in her house. She's going to be moving sometimes soon

the next few months here. So she accidentally sent the box, a pottery barn box that I'd

sent her with her gift along with the Amvets took it away. And yeah, all's well that ends well,

though, because somehow by some divine miracle, she got that box back. No idea how.
