Hey guys, Guy here. It is a Tuesday morning and a lot's gone on in the last week. The 49ers lost their tight ends coach.

This one came off the board. I did not check Polymarket or Cal She not advertisers to see who they had.

I should go back and see who they had as the Seahawks next offensive coordinator. I'd be shocked if Brian Fleury was on that list.

But, you know, there was a take I asked around the other day that Colin Cowherd had, which is he said, if you're building an NFL franchise in the NFC, and he emphasized Sam Darnold's 28 years old, that no GM would take Brock Purdy or Jalen Hertz or any other quarterback in the NFC over Sam Darnold. And while I think it's a defensible argument, I think it's an interesting argument. I don't think it's true that nobody would take anybody other than Sam Darnold. I asked an offensive coordinator in the league. I texted him. I said, what do you think of this take? And he said, too strong for me. Stafford, which Stafford be on my list.

Gough, I think golf would be on people's list. Yes, it's on this guy's list. Dak, I'm good with, I think some people would take deck. Now, this guy, like, he said, I'm a Baker guy, so Baker has to be in the conversation. and Brock, I said, so is it safe to say that it's not obvious

that everybody would take Darnold over Pertie specifically? And he said that's a safe take. I think

it's a good argument. It's a well-crafted argument. It's a defensible argument. But I don't think

it's correct to say that everybody blanket would take Darnold. And if that's the case, which I believe it's the case, I didn't, I got confirmation

because I wanted to tell you guys that I talked to somebody else, but I didn't feel like I needed it.

I, again, creative take, good take, but I don't think it's a correct take.

And if that's the case that Donald's not the class of the NFC, then Mike McDonald is

trying to do something that's really, really, really, really difficult, right?

And that's build a sustainable championship contender as a defensive head coach with a non-alique

quarterback.

Now, let's be very clear, and I said it last week.

The Cocks are a legitimate champion, and the goal of the whole thing is to win the championship.

Now, some people might tell you, if I gave you the option, you own a team, you can either

a win a title and then have no chance for 10 years or b be in contention every year for 10 years

i don't know what you take but the point of the thing is to win the championship now if you're the owner

you go well you know i sell a lot more sweets if i'm in the nFC your a fc championship games seven out of 10

years we're contender you know we play a lot more prime time games, more standalone games.
