Police in Washington will have more leeway to chase suspects starting Thursday when there's reasonable suspicion they violated the law.

Initiative 2113 rolls back an earlier law from 2021. Under the legislation, each law enforcement agency will have the authority to set its own policy for officers to follow.

Seattle Police Department and the King County Sheriff's Office are taking a look at their policies in light of the change.
