bunch of Teslas on your commute into work today. That's because Seattle area households are more likely to own

a Tesla than the national average. The electric vehicle brand was once an eco-friendly status symbol,

but now it has an unbreakable association with the company's controversial CEO, Elon Musk.

So I got to drive around. I got to keep driving it. But I'm also having this existential

crisis of I'm complicit with the regime. KUOW politics reporter Scott Greenstone asked

Seattle area Tesla owners how they're dealing with that association and the attention that comes

with it. We'll hear from Scott in a minute, but first, let's get you

caught up.

Victims of a doctor who practiced at Madigan Army Medical Center have filed tort claims against

the U.S. Army and the Department of Defense. Earlier this year, Major Michael Stockin was

sentenced to more than 13 years

in prison after admitting to sexually abusing 41 male patients while working at the facility

on Joint Base Lewis McCord. Now, the Tacoma News Tribune reports a law firm has filed

$100 million in legal claims on behalf of his former patients.

Attorneys argue the Army is liable for what happened because it allowed Stockin to continue practicing despite knowing about the abuse.
