All right, last night the Falcons went on the road and did what they need to do and they moved basically to nine and five on the season.

0:28.0

And that is a pretty decent place for them to be as we come down the home stretch here in the NFC South.

0:37.0

We've got the Saints sitting at ten and four. We've got the Panther sitting at ten and four and we have now the Atlanta Falcons sitting at nine and five.

0:47.0

There is a decent chance that all three of these teams could end up in identical 11 and five records and also that all three of these teams could end up as the NFC playoff representatives to two wild cards and the division win.

1:06.0

What do the conclusions of these schedules look like kind of across the board? Well for we've got a massive game.

1:16.0

Massive game on Sunday with the Falcons traveling to the Saints. You'll remember just a couple of weeks ago.

1:24.0

I believe it was the Thursday night football game. The Falcons and the Saints played and the and the Falcons found a way to win that game.

1:33.0

Drew breeze through a late interception. Well if the Falcons went out if the Falcons can win at the Saints and if they can beat the Panthers to get to 11 and five, then they will be in pretty fantastic shape because they'll win the division after all of the turmoil of this season with the Atlanta Falcons after coming back from the Super Bowl run and giving up the 28 to three lead and the question of how they would respond this season.

2:01.0

If they can win their final two at the Saints and then beat the Panthers in Atlanta, then they win the division.

2:08.0

They would be your either three or four seed depending on what happens with the teams above them. They would host a home playoff game.

2:16.0

Meanwhile if you're the Saints or you're the Panthers, you think if you get to 12 and four, you're probably not going to be in the mix to get one of the one or the two seeds.

2:28.0

But you certainly can lock up the number three overall seed and feel pretty good about your chances of competing with either the Vikings or the Nick Folls lead Philadelphia Eagles in the event that you can win your wild card round and advance to the division round to playoff.

2:45.0

This has the potential to be as intriguing if not the most intriguing round of the kind of round robin play down the stretch here that we have ever seen in a divisional race because I don't remember a time when for instance we end up with a three way 11 and five tie, which we could in theory end up with if the Falcons went out and then the Panthers are able to beat the Bucks and the Saints are able to beat the Bucks.

3:14.0

Which seems very likely in which case we get a three way tie the Falcons would win that three way tie. I believe I'm correcting that you guys can can research to make sure that that's a hundred percent true.

3:27.0

But I believe the first tie break would be how you did in the division and the head to head against the teams you're tied with.

3:33.0

And I believe the Falcons would win that that breakdown because they would have the best record overall in against the other two opponents.

3:43.0

So that has the potential to be a pretty incredible breakdown as the as the season continues. And why does that matter outside of the NFC South? Well, it matters to a large degree outside of the NFC South because we don't know exactly how the season will end for these other playoff teams that are hoping to make it.

4:06.0

But if the Falcons went out and again, it seems like there's a pretty decent chance that they will. And if the Panthers and the Saints can beat the Bucks, which I think everybody would acknowledge they would, then it would be very likely that they would then there's no hope no matter how good they finish for Detroit for Seattle for Dallas at all.

4:30.0

All three of those teams the best they can do is get to ten and six right now all three of those teams are sitting at eight and six. So that is kind of in general right now your NFC playoff picture as we enter into the 15th game of the season that Saints and Falcons game is absolutely massive.

4:51.0

And if you are a fan of the Lions of the Seahawks or of the Dallas Cowboys, you have to be rooting as aggressively as you possibly can for the Saints to beat the Falcons.
