We didn't talk much about the Jerry Richardson case.

And his decision in rapid fashion news comes out that there's an investigation going on

into his behavior as an owner potentially having done some sexually harassive behavior

in his past and there is almost immediately a decision that he announces within what like

really like 36 hours basically that he's going to put the team up for sell as soon as

the season ends and I believe he's basically stepped down as the acting owner now they've

announced that someone else has taken in his position.

Now if you're thinking oh man, I feel bad for Jerry Richardson as maybe somebody out there

does this guy bought the franchise I believe for like 240 million dollars and it's likely

that he's going to sell it for 2.5 billion dollars.

So in the space of a little over 20 years since he brought the franchise to Carolina he will

have turned that 230 or 40 million dollars that he initially invested to buy the team

into 2.5 billion dollars.

And frankly I'm not sure that making the decision right now to sell an NFL franchise isn't

a smart decision.

I think we're close to peak NFL so I'm not sure what the long range future of the NFL is

going to be as CTE continues to kind of stalk the sport how many kids are going to be playing

football growing up compared to in past years.

All of those things if you were just kind of looking at selling at the very top of the

market.

I think it's selling right now is not a bad idea and remember we're in a weird era right
