This month at Awesome Marriage, we're talking about growing through the seasons of life

in marriage. So today we're going to be focusing on seasons of transition.

So Dr. Kim, what are the different seasons of transition that you see a lot of couples going

through when it comes to the counseling room?

I think, you know, I think people have to realize we do go through transitions.

I think sometimes especially when we get in a good spot in life and we can think would

it be there.

And I was thinking this morning, I can remember being really young.

And, you know, everything did seem to say the same for a long time.

You know, holidays were the same.

Have the same people there. Grandparents had both sit to grandparents and thinking, oh, this is great. And then all of a sudden you begin to,

you know, in 18 months I lost three grandparents. And so things change, life changes. And so I think

in marriage, the same things happen. I think we, and you get in the honeymoon phase. And if you

have a good first year, you're thinking, oh, this is it would be that way. And, you know, if you have a good first year, you're thinking, well, obviously, it would be that way.

And, you know, if you don't have a great first year, you know, and they think, oh, no,

or whatever it comes, you know.

But I think there's a lot of things that happen.

I mean, work situations, definitely.
